WODI Childcare is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm. You're welcome to drop off any time before 9:30am so your child can settle into the morning routine, and pick-up is any time up to 6:00pm. Please let us know in advance if someone other than a listed guardian will be collecting your child, as we always confirm ID at the door.
We welcome children from around 18 months to 5 years, grouped into age-appropriate rooms: a Toddler room for our younger walkers and a Preschool room for the 3-to-5s. Each room is set up with activities, furniture, and routines suited to that stage, and children move up as they're developmentally ready rather than strictly by birthday.
We keep small, consistent groups with roughly one educator to every four toddlers and one to eight in the preschool room, which meets or exceeds the recommended standard. All of our educators hold recognised early-childhood qualifications and are trained in paediatric first aid, with ongoing professional development throughout the year.
We serve a freshly prepared morning snack, a hot lunch, and an afternoon snack each day, with menus planned around balanced, child-friendly nutrition. Allergies and dietary needs are taken very seriously; we record each child's requirements, keep our kitchen fully informed, and accommodate common allergies and preferences, so please share the details when you enrol.
Yes, we have a calm rest period after lunch where younger children sleep on their own cot or mat and older children can rest or enjoy quiet activities. We follow each family's routine as closely as we can, so just let us know your child's usual nap habits and we'll help them settle.
We offer a gentle settling-in period with shorter visits to begin with, so your child can get to know their educators and their new space at their own pace. A key educator will be your main point of contact, and we'll share updates and photos through the day so you feel reassured while your little one adjusts.
To keep everyone healthy, we ask that children stay home if they have a fever, are contagious, or are too unwell to take part in the day, and we follow standard exclusion periods for illnesses such as tummy bugs. If your child becomes unwell while with us, we'll contact you to arrange collection and keep them comfortable until you arrive.
Our building is secured with keypad entry, and children are only released to authorised guardians once we have confirmed their identity. We maintain strict sign-in and sign-out records, closely supervised indoor and outdoor areas, and regular safety checks, and our team practises emergency procedures so everyone knows exactly what to do.
Our days blend free play, group activities, stories, music, outdoor time, meals, and rest, following a predictable rhythm that helps children feel secure. We follow a play-based curriculum where children learn through hands-on exploration, building early language, social, and problem-solving skills at their own pace.
Please pack a couple of spare changes of clothes, a sun hat, and any comfort item your child likes at nap time, all labelled with their name. We provide all meals and snacks, so there's no need to send food; if your child is in nappies, simply keep us stocked with their preferred brand and we'll let you know when supplies are running low.
Fees depend on the number of days per week and your child's age group, and we're happy to send a full schedule along with information on any available subsidies. Places can fill quickly, so we recommend joining our waitlist early; once a spot opens we'll invite you in for a visit and guide you through the enrolment paperwork.
You'll receive daily updates through our family portal, including photos and notes on meals, naps, and activities, so you never miss a moment. Our educators are also always happy to chat at drop-off and pick-up, and we schedule regular check-ins to talk through your child's progress.
We close on public holidays and for a short break over the end-of-year holiday season, and we share the full closure calendar when you enrol and again ahead of time. We'll always give plenty of notice of any additional closure days so you can arrange alternative care in advance.
Absolutely; we work in partnership with families on potty training, following the same gentle, encouraging approach you use at home so your child feels supported in both places. Children also enjoy outdoor play every day in our secure garden, with plenty of room to run, climb, and explore, weather permitting.
Families can begin by registering through OneList and selecting WODI Childcare as their preferred childcare provider. Once your application is submitted, our team will follow up when a space becomes available.
